An Incredible Year in 5th Grade ENDS...YET a Summer of Soap Making and House Building Awaits!

As the school year winds down, there’s a mix of emotions in the air. This year, teaching 5th grade has been nothing short of amazing. The students brought energy, curiosity, and kindness that made every day memorable. At the same time, I’m buzzing with excitement for the summer ahead, filled with creative soap making and a big personal project: building a house in Northwestern Montana. This post shares reflections on the school year and a glimpse into what’s coming next for the Wild Lotus Soap Family.

Celebrating the Best 5th Grade Class!

Teaching 5th grade this year has been a rewarding journey. The students were engaged and eager to learn, which made lesson planning a joy. We explored everything from science experiments to creative writing, and their enthusiasm never faded.

One of the most rewarding moments was watching a few shy students gain confidence and participate actively. This class truly felt like a community where everyone supported each other.

Looking Forward to a Summer of Soap Making

After months of teaching, I’m ready to dive into a summer filled with soap-making and creating. This craft has become such a passion for me, and I have many new ideas rolling around in my brain. From experimenting with new techniques to creating with new and unique scents, the possibilities feel endless.

Soap making is not only a creative outlet for me, but also a heartfelt way to connect with others who appreciate handmade products. I’m excited to share some of my new creations starting in June, so stay tuned!

The Adventure of Building a House in NorthWestern Montana

Adding to the excitement, this summer marks the beginning of building a house in Western Montana. It’s a big project that combines planning, hard work, and a long-time dream of ours has been to create a peaceful retreat for our family and my soap-making business. The location offers stunning views and a chance to live closer to nature.

This project will be a new learning experience for us, and a new chapter to share with our Wild Lotus Fam. Stay tuned for updates and stories from the build site...
